Jacqueline turned around when she heard barking and saw Sparx running after her. The dog loped over to her side and started barking, "Shhh!! Quiet boy!" she hissed atthe big dog, who instantly went quiet as the two kept running, the voices of the military soldiers a little closer then they had been before, and this of course worried her. They darted down another back alley in an attempt to through the soldiers of the trail and kept running through the alleys between the various houses and business buildings.

Sora sat by herself, looking at her reflection in the lake. She wondered what would become of that lady. Ed was right. She was once a prisoner. Would they imprison her again? Would this temporary freedom be worthwhile in the end? Would she even see this lady again?
All this on her mind, she threw small pebbles into the water. She hoped everything would turn out well.

Jacqueline headed down another alley with Sparx but glared when she saw a dead end of brick wall. She growled and spun around to face the opening of the alley, as the shouting voices drew closer. She cocked her pistols and Sparx stepped in front of her growling and snarling as the military finally had her cornered. All had there guns pointed at her so she threw her guns to the side, she may have been stubborn, but she wasn't stupid enough to not know when she was cornered and outnumbered. Mustang stepped forward and aimed his gun at her, and she just glared and froze, but Sparx did not. The huge dog broke free of her grip on his collar and launch at Mustang, and a shot sounded as well as a yelping cry as Sparx was shot in the shoulder as his fangs locked on to mustang's arm. Jacqueline gasped and ran forward, prying the huge dog off of the Colonel, which was pretty easy as the dog was injured badly. "Ok ok I give up, i'll go back, just please don't shoot," Jacqueline said, holding the big dog in her arms, obviously the injuring of Sparx broke her fighting spirit, as Sparx was her only friend in the world. Mustang was furious but under military law he was required to bring her back to the base under punishment that she was to be given no further mission for 4 months, and smaller rations for that alotted amount of time as well. Both of these punishments did not bother her, but as soon as she got back to base, she qent straight to work on patching up Sparx.

Sora looked back to the base, where they were taking the lady she had seen earlier in. Hopefully, they weren't going to be too hard on her. Sora looked back at her reflection. She had hurt two people in one day. One, she was trying to help. The other, she was trying to understand.
"You look so worrisome."
Sora looked a bit to the right of her own reflection and saw Ed's. She looked over to him and nodded. She couldn't really think of anything to say at the moment.

Before she was allowed to tend to Sparx Jacqueline had a little meeting with the Fuhrer. He wasn't in a much better mood then Roy was, who was the only other one in the room except the Fuhrer and of course jax. Jacqueline reemerged from the room a few minutes later with a few bruises on her arms, a couple of cuts, and she was bleeding from her lip. She cursed Mustang and the Fuhrer under her breath as she headed outside the building to attend to Sparx's injuries.

Sora stood up, though she wasn't quite sure why. Ed stood up a couple of seconds later. It was as if he was waiting for her to do that for awhile. She looked at the ground and said, not able to look up,
"I think that lady and her dog are hurting now. It's all my fault. I should have left her to the life she was used to instead of destroying --" "Destroying it? You gave her a few minutes where she could have anything she wanted. It was the right thing to do." "You weren't saying that a minute ago," she said, feeling as if she were about to -- "Don't," and he, quite suddenly, took a hold of her, placing his head on her shoulder and embracing her.
Sora closed her eyes as tears tried to fall from them. They came very slowly, and she wasn't quite sure why. Did this lady mean that much to her? Or was it Ed she was worried about? Perhaps it was something completely different that had been ailing her for awhile. He let go of her, and without thinking, they both said,
"I..."
But neither of them could say the next word. They nodded and walked opposite ways yet again.

Jacqueline was hard at work, extracting the bullet from Sparx's shoulder took tricky work, and blood began drippig down her cheek from a ssorted said injuries but she didn't care. after she bandaged Sparx up the best she could, she could only wait it out. But for the time being she left sparx to rest and heal up while she took a walk around the base, her thoughts were spinning, and she hated Mustang now more then ever, and he now knew her weakness lied with Sparx, the only living thing she willingly tolerated. She sighed, sitting up agaisnt a tree, her body was sore from her punishment, and it throbbed and ached but she didn't care. She had gotten her taste of freedom and man she enjoyed it while it lasted.

Sora walked up to the lady who she had seen earlier. She was attending to her dog's injuries, so this might have been the wrong time, but Sora said,
"Sorry," looking slightly away from the lady.

Jacqueline turned and showed a small smile, wiping blood from her forehead, "It's ok, you didn't know this would happen, you gave me the freedom i've waited years to have and i thank you, those few minutes were filled with the best feeling i've had in a while," she explained smiling.

Sora smiled as well, glad that she could have been a bit of a help. She had this bad habit of trying to make people happy without thinking about the consquences.

Strike nodded and turned back to working on Sparx, who finally started to wake up. She wiped more blood from her for head, cursing Mustang under her breath.

Sora did not know where her destination was, but she hoped to find it soon. She grew weary of this military hell. That's what it was to her. A pit of emotionless clones willing to kill others to get their way. Gluttons, that's what they were. Gluttons with a lust for power.
"Can I eat her?" she heard a very scratchy, unpleasant voice say from a distance. "No. She isn't one of them, though she may be an alchemist. My main focus is men, but I suppose..." and the mysterious female voice trailed off.
"Sora?" asked a very veluptuous woman who stood in front of her. "That would be me." "You can do alchemy, right?" "Why? Would you like me to change your voice into one that's not quite so --" "Ooh, interesting subject here. That's a yes, then?" "Yes. What of it?" "Are you looking for the Philosopher's Stone by any chance?"
"No. No, she isn't." said Ed's voice from behind Sora.
Sora looked back to see Ed with a very intense look on his face. He looked as if he was about to ask this woman why she was here, but he never did. He just glared for what seemed like far too long.
